Policies
Submitting Assignments
- Some assignments will be turned in electronically through email, while others will be turned in as a hard copy.
- You need to turn in assignments in the correct format in order to receive credit for these assignments.
- Turning in assignments in the incorrect format may require you to resubmit. If you resubmit late, you will be issued a late penalty (as shown below).
- You WILL NOT submit any assignments through the distance learning site. The only reason you will go to this site is to retrieve your textbook.
Absence & Lateness
- If you miss work, please visit the course page to see what you have missed.
- DO NOT email Ms. Burt to see what you have missed.
- If you know that you will be late or absent, or if you need to leave class early, please email Ms. Burt in advance.
- If you do not sign in with the appropriate information, you will be marked absent.
- If you leave without signing your grade report, you will be marked absent.
- If you arrive after the first class break at 7:40 p.m., you will be marked absent.
- Quietly sign in and find a seat.
- Wait until there is a break to ask Ms. Burt what you have missed.
- You are responsible for retrieving any missed class work or homework.

- All work should be submitted as an attachment in one of the following formats: .doc, .ppt, .pptx, .docx
- Campus-wide late work policy:
- 1 week late = 75% highest possible grade
- 2 weeks late = 50% highest possible grade
- 3 weeks late = You will receive a 0%
NO late work will be accepted after 2 weeks from the due date.
NO late work will be accepted after the last day of class.
